The GJM has expressed shock and anger at the disappearance of Nikkel Tamang from the custody of the CID. It may be recalled that Nikkel Tamang who is a member of the central committee of the GJM had been arrested in connection with the murder of ABGL leader Madan Tamang and was in the custody of the CID.
The GJM called a meeting at the Gymkhana Hall inviting all the leaders of the frontal organisations to discuss all issues relating to the interim set-up before the next round of talks to be held on September 07, 2010.
A seven member delegation of the GJM led by General Secretary Roshan Giri participated in the tripartite talks with the Central and the State governments in New Delhi.
The ABAVP (regional unit) on August 09, expressed their intention to involve themselves with the GJM in a joint movement to achieve their objectives provided seven conditions which it had placed before the GJM were accepted.
1. Agriculture, including agricultural education and research, protection against pests and prevention of plant disease. 2. Preservation, protection and improvement of stock and prevention of animal disease, veterinary training and practice.
